Extrusion

Located on the southern shores of the Mediterranean, not far from Algiers, this manufacturer of plastic pipes contacted us with a project to supply two complete PVC pipe manufacturing plants - with five primary materials. The 1st part is to feed two turbo-mixers, from five products to be weighed. The 2nd part is to feed five extruders, after turbo-mixers.

This materials manufacturer asked TIM to supply its extruder with additives. The project involved emptying Big-bags and transferring the products to the mixer. The characteristics of the products required a specific installation, in compliance with ATEX zone 21 for the inside of the equipment.

South of Moscow, a disused factory is being refurbished to create a dairy - from bottle making to packaging. The customer required the peripherals for two extrusion blow-molding machines.

A Taiwanese plastics company manufacturing polyethylene, copolymers, homopolymers and PVC, among other products, approached TIM at the K95 trade fair in Germany with a special requirement. A gigantic petrochemical site with a particularly risky installation zone, the project involved transferring materials whose behavior was difficult to predict. All the equipment meets ATEX requirements (II2G EEXD IICT5).
