As a finished product is generally the assembly of several basic components, the plastics industry often requires the dosing of each product according to the different ratios required.
TIM has developed a comprehensive range of volumetric and gravimetric dispensers, from single-product masterbatch dispensers (such as PRECICOULEUR) to machine-mounted multi-product dispensers.
Volumetric dosing
TIM offers single or multi-product volumetric dosing stations with weighing accuracy of up to +/- 2%, depending on product and configuration.
The volumetric dosing unit enables continuous dosing of various products, such as virgin materials (granules or powders) or regrind, with regular, adjustable flow rates.
The dosed products are then taken up and homogenized in a flexible TRANSITUBE mechanical feeder, which automatically feeds the machine hopper of the press or extruder.
Gravimetric or weight dosing
Single and multi-product weighing units
TIM has developed gravimetric dosing and mixing units, enabling precise dosing of various products, in powder or granulated form.
The weighed products are then mixed in the hopper equipped with a Vertical Mixing Unit spiral system.
A control unit manages the operation of the various spiral feeders to ensure accuracy to within +/- 5 grams of the batch value.
