Silo feeding and dose preparation for rotational molding machines

With its substantial machine park, our customer is constantly expanding and perfecting its production, in two stages.

[2018/2019 - Feeding of two silos and two weighing stations from the micronizer ] 

Installation of a material recovery rack under the micronizer, equipped with 2 valves to direct the colors to the right feeder.

Under this rack, 3 main flexible mechanical feeders feed 10-meter-high silos. The silos assigned to a color are filled via valves and mechanical feeders.

Silos can be filled automatically or manually.

[2020/2022 - Recovering material from under silos and feeding dose weighing stations]. 

Installation of return feeders under the silos (automatic or manual) for the mechanical feeders feeding the buffer hoppers of the 3 weighing stations.

For weighing stations, we have just developed a color-coded set consisting of :

• A buffer hopper to keep a reserve during weighing operations
• A spiral feeder
• An adjustable, pedestal-mounted weighing table to receive the bin to be filled
• An operator control panel.

The whole system is managed by a process cabinet that handles silo feeding and weighing.
